Sydney Sweeney in Everything Sucks!

Everything Sucks! is a Netflix comedy set in 1996 at a high school in the real town of Boring, Oregon. It follows the audio-visual club and the drama club as they make a film together.

Sweeney plays Emaline Addario, the dramatic and at first unkind star of the drama club, who changes more than any other character over ten episodes. Netflix cancelled the series after one season. It was the first time a wider audience saw her in a main role, and it started her working relationship with the co-creator Michael Mohan, who later directed her in The Voyeurs and Immaculate.
