Sydney Sweeney caught between raised hands, Christy screening London

Framed by a blur of outstretched hands, glowing phone screens and a stray neon bracelet, she stands at the center of a press line that presses in from every side. She wears a soft blush top with a high, lace-trimmed neck, her long honey-blonde hair falling loose past her shoulders, small gold earrings catching the light. Her head is tilted slightly upward, mouth open mid-laugh or mid-greeting, one hand raised near her chest as she reaches toward someone just out of frame. Around her, photographers lift cameras, fans angle for video, and a woman beside her leans in with a marker and something to sign. The lighting is low and tinted with violet and rose, the kind of evening glow that makes a crowded barricade look almost intimate.

This photograph was taken on 17 October 2025 at the BFI London Film Festival, where Christy was shown a month after its premiere in Toronto. Sweeney met the crowd on the red carpet and then introduced the film on stage. She plays the boxer Christy Martin, and is also one of the producers of the film.
