Sydney Sweeney framed by phones at the Christy screening, London

Framed between out-of-focus shoulders and raised phones, she leans in toward the barrier with a wide, unguarded smile, eyes bright and fixed on someone just out of frame. She wears a soft pink high-necked top with delicate ruffled detailing, small drop earrings catching the light, her long hair falling loose past her shoulders. Around her the crowd presses close: cameras held aloft, a phone screen glowing blue, a neon green beaded necklace flaring at the edge, a partial sign above the heads. The lighting is warm and theatrical, pink and violet tones washing over skin and fabric, with bokeh orbs floating across the foreground. It is the familiar choreography of a premiere line, all hands and greetings, and she looks genuinely delighted to be inside it.

This photograph was taken on 17 October 2025 at the BFI London Film Festival, where Christy was shown a month after its premiere in Toronto. Sweeney met the crowd on the red carpet and then introduced the film on stage. She plays the boxer Christy Martin, and is also one of the producers of the film.
