Caught mid-turn on a crowded barrier line, she glances back over her bare shoulder with a wide, unguarded smile, the kind that reads as genuine rather than rehearsed. Her pale lilac gown catches what little warm light there is, its sheer, ruched detailing glowing softly against the dark drapes and scaffolding behind her. Long honey-blonde hair falls loose past her shoulders. A suited minder in navy shields one side of her; a companion in a camel coat lifts a phone to capture the moment, while blurred hands and screens crowd the foreground, evidence of the fans pressed just out of frame. The BFI signage on the orange barrier anchors the scene: a festival evening, cool air, bright faces, and a star pausing just long enough to be seen.
This photograph was taken on 17 October 2025 at the BFI London Film Festival, where Christy was shown a month after its premiere in Toronto. Sweeney met the crowd on the red carpet and then introduced the film on stage. She plays the boxer Christy Martin, and is also one of the producers of the film.
