Sydney Sweeney waves onstage at the Christy screening in London

She stands alone on a darkened stage, the projection screen glowing pale behind her, and holds the room with nothing more than a handheld microphone and an open palm lifted mid-sentence. The gown is a study in contrasts: a cream satin corset, glossy and sculpted, gathered softly at the bust and again at the hip, where it gives way to a wide skirt of blush lace that pools into pleated ruffles across the floor. Sheer lace cap sleeves frame her shoulders. Her long hair falls in loose honeyed waves, and her expression is bright and conversational, mid-thought rather than posed.
