Against the deep navy step-and-repeat, where the TIFF wordmark repeats alongside Royal Bank, Visa and Telefilm Canada crests, she turns slightly from the cameras and holds a cool, composed gaze just past the lens. The gown is a blush satin corset, its seams and boning traced in matching pale ribbon, the structured cups and sculpted waist doing the work of the whole silhouette without a single embellishment to distract. Long honey-blonde hair falls in soft, glossy waves over one shoulder and down past her waist, styled with old-Hollywood polish. The lighting is even and flattering, catching the sheen of the satin and the warm highlights in her hair, and her makeup stays deliberately quiet: rosy lip, clean skin, a faint blush along the cheekbone.
This photograph was taken at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025, at the world premiere of Christy. Sweeney plays the boxer Christy Martin in the film by David Michôd, a part for which she trained for months. Toronto was the first time an audience saw the film.
