The Housemaid is a thriller directed by Paul Feig, adapted from the best-selling novel by Freida McFadden. Sweeney plays Millie, a young woman with a past that she keeps quiet, who takes a live-in job in the house of a wealthy couple.

Amanda Seyfried plays Nina Winchester, the employer whose moods change from one hour to the next, and Brandon Sklenar plays her husband Andrew. The story turns on who in the house is in danger and who is dangerous, and it changes its answer more than once. Lionsgate released the film in December 2025.
