Sydney Sweeney delighted by fans at the Christy screening, London

Hemmed in on every side, she still finds the person calling her name. Sydney Sweeney turns toward the barrier in a soft blush coat, long caramel hair falling loose over one shoulder, one hand lifted near her cheek in a gesture that is half wave, half delighted disbelief. Her mouth is open in a laugh, eyes bright and fixed on someone just out of frame. Around her the crowd blurs into shapes: a raised phone glowing blue, a baseball cap, a camera lens, the dark shoulders of security staff keeping a careful arc of space. Behind them a wall of scarlet catches the carpet lighting and throws warm color across her face, while the night air turns everything else cool and violet.

This photograph was taken on 17 October 2025 at the BFI London Film Festival, where Christy was shown a month after its premiere in Toronto. Sweeney met the crowd on the red carpet and then introduced the film on stage. She plays the boxer Christy Martin, and is also one of the producers of the film.
