She holds the stage lightly, one hand cupped around a black microphone, the other arm sweeping outward as if measuring a thought mid-sentence. The gown does much of the talking: a structured ivory satin corset, gathered at the bust and hem, rising into delicate blush lace at the shoulders and falling away into a sheer, floor-skimming lace skirt that pools in soft pleats at her feet. Her long honey-toned hair falls in loose waves over one shoulder. Behind her, a projection screen glows pale green and citrus yellow, its warm wash catching her bare arms and the sheen of the satin while the lower half of the stage recedes into black. Her expression is candid, engaged, caught between words before an audience she cannot quite see.
This photograph was taken on 17 October 2025 at the BFI London Film Festival, where Christy was shown a month after its premiere in Toronto. Sweeney met the crowd on the red carpet and then introduced the film on stage. She plays the boxer Christy Martin, and is also one of the producers of the film.
