Sydney Sweeney speaks onstage at the Christy screening, London

She stands alone at center stage, microphone raised, mid-sentence and smiling as if she has just landed a joke with the room. The gown is a study in softness: a pale champagne satin corset cinched over a blush lace cap-sleeve bodice, with a long sheer lace skirt falling to a ruffled hem that pools across the dark floor. Her hair, a warm honey brown, is swept to one side in loose waves. Behind her, the projection screen glows in a wash of chartreuse and cool violet, the only color in an otherwise black expanse, and the stage light catches the sheen of the satin at her waist. The pose is easy, one hand resting at her side, entirely at home in front of an audience.

This photograph was taken on 17 October 2025 at the BFI London Film Festival, where Christy was shown a month after its premiere in Toronto. Sweeney met the crowd on the red carpet and then introduced the film on stage. She plays the boxer Christy Martin, and is also one of the producers of the film.
